I've been watching anime now for about 2 years. I've been thinking about starting to collect manga but I don't know if it would be worth it. I really like anime and stuff especially hearing the japanese so I'm not sure if manga would take away from my love of... animeish stuff (can't think of a way to say it xD)... I have heard that a lot of series are much better in manga than anime. So what do you guys think.

You should collect manga. A lot of anime series don't finish in the dvds. They continue on in the mangas. I collect manga myself and like reading the side stories.
I always ask myself that question to. I'm more animaish but I do like reading some manga. But I dont like reading ahead of the anime because when the anime series continues, i already know whats going to happen. I want to be... surprised.
I believe it is worth it to buy and collect manga. And there some series out there that is completely different in the manga then it is in the anime. So, it's another story when you watch an anime of your favorite manga and vice versa. I love to read, so yeah I think it is worth it.
I heard somewhere that some animes are purposely shortened out because it's more like a commercial for the manga.So it's a smart choice if it is available.
In my opinion its worth buying manga. they usually have more content plus you can read manga any where. plus you can find some good manga that havent been made into anime.
I think that you should buy a manga if you're into collecting them... I got way too much manga at home and I'm still buying them... As for reading, if reading is all that you want to do then you should try to find some scanlated version online and download em... There are people who like stories though not enough to buy it... However, should you really like those stories, I suggest supporting the mangaka by buying em
