Hi, I joined this forum yesterday and happened to find animebreaker randomly while looking for the Claymore OST, lol. Thanks by the way for hosting it! ^.^
I was so impressed that I immediately became a member XD.
As for a little bit about me, well, I am a student at Mercer University majoring in history. I am currently in my 3rd year but my grades are not as good as they should be T.T I am half-asian, and I am very interested in learning languages when I have the time. Currently, I am trying to learn both German and Japanese, but, I might have to wait until the summer to do more -.- as school keeps me pretty occupied in the scholastic department.
Along with watching lots of anime, I listen to a lot of Japanese music, too. Currently, I would have to say that I like m.o.v.e. and High and Mighty Color best so far, but I listen to all sorts of artists.
As you may have guessed, my favorite genre of music is rock (I cannot really be more specific, I like many kinds of rock and the distinctions and classifications of subgenres of music confuse me to no end lol). I suppose my favorite English rock bands are Breaking Benjamin and Nightwish. Um, English as in they sing in English, not that they are from England o.O just for clarification purposes XD
I also do a fair bit of gaming; mostly PC games and mostly RTS at that, but I like to play fighting games (Tekken and Soul Calibur!) on consoles since they are largely absent on PC. My favorite game of all time is Starcraft and, yes, I am eagerly anticipating Starcraft 2! A rather distant 2nd to Starcraft, lol, because I love Starcraft so much more that it is hard to compare with other RTS games, is Warcraft 3, particularly Dota. I have also played other RTS games, too like C&C Generals, Red Alert 1 and 2, Battle for Middle Earth, Dawn of War, and Total Annihilation. Aside from RTS games, I also like strategy/fantasy and rpg; I like the Heroes of Might and Magic series as well as Lords of Magic and the Warlords series. I also like the Civilization series and Age of Empires and Rise of Nations. For RPG's, I really like the Black Isle produced games, including the Icewind Dale series, the Baldur's Gate series, and Planescape Torment. Oh, and Neverwinter Nights ^.^ Which also reminds me to include Morrowind.
Sadly, my computer is rather lackluster in the video, processing power, and, um, well... basically it is really lacking everywhere lol! Which is partly why I play mostly RTS games as they tend to have lower system requirements. As a result, I have not played Neverwinter Nights 2 or Oblivion yet.
This probably comes as no surprise since I like Black Isle so much but I also play D&D. I started in the 3rd edition about 6 or 7 years ago.
Hmm... other stuff that I like to do... Ah! I also play a bit of chess on a regular basis and I love to read books, particularly fantasy, but I like many kinds XD
Well, that pretty much sums up most of my interests/hobbies ^.^
A word about me, well I try to be a conscientious person yet at the same I strive to view situations in an objective light. What I call my practical side is what people who know me like to lambast as my pessimism, lol. For good qualities that I *think* I have include a good natured, easy-going disposition, an adherence to judging other people as little as possible, and, while all these sound good, I am much of an introvert so it is unlikely that very many people will ever discover this much about me lol.
