some freak called me this morning.. stating that he's from Qwest (my telephone company)..

he told me that... i didn't pay my bill.. i told him i have surepay.. but then he told me that Qwest need to update the credit card info every year..

i was stupid! i gave him my credit card number without asking for name or employee # !

after finishing the call.. i checked the caller ID-- it said "private caller".. if it's from Qwest.. why need to hide the phone #??

i got suspicious :/ i think about it while walking the dog.. then i decided to called Qwest.. it turns out that there's no such thing as updating credit card info every year!! they only update it if the card expired or you get a new card.

after conforming..it with Qwest.. i pick up the phone and call my credit card company...before i called the credit card company... i received a call from Southwest Airline.. confirming a reservation for $341!!!??

i said " what?? i didn't made the reservation..i just got scammed.. and was in the middle of reporting it to my credit card company"..

Southwest airline representative said " don't worry.. sir.. we will refund the amount"

well, i called my credit card company.. ask them to cancel the card..

all there left to do is wait for the new card arrive and updating all my billing info... and dispute any fraud charges in this month bill made with my credit card..

i stop the call about 1 hour after the card being compromised.. stil i'm not sure... how much did that freak able to purchase in 1 hour:?

You know, the credit card company can and will, at your request, pursue this guy and he'll get raped in the ass. I hope you're pressing charges cause it needs to happen. Money is one of the things in life that you don't mess with.

how do i do that?? i don't know who he is.. he's using my info to buy plane tickets!.. i'm not sure if he use my info to buy all those stuff that cost over $2400!


how do i track him?? or ask the credit card company to do it??? how can i press charges of a scammer, whom i have no infomation of.

The credit card company can do it, you just have to tell them that your card number was stolen and they'll watch for it being used. Call them up and tell them what happened and at what time it happened at. Any charges made to that card will be tracked by the company and between them and the police, they can track him down for credit card fraud.

i did called my credit card company and have the card cancelled about 1 hour after the phone call..


i asked them if if they can provide me the merchants name and phone # that the card being uses as so i can called and cancel the orders.. since the charges are in pending.. but they told me they have to let the charges through..

anc i can dispute them on the affidavit when i receive my statemnt??

is there anything else i can do??
