Plot Summary:
A
female mecha pilot tries to keep in touch with her boyfriend on earth
while she is in space using cell phone text messages. The farther away
they get from each other, the harder it is for the text messages to get

This OVA was written, directed and produced entirely by Makoto Shinkai and his computer. I know the plot sounds a bit lame but it's actually very good. The animation is beautiful even if it was done by 1 person. It consists of both 2D and 3D animations. The creator was also part of the production for "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" which can be found here .
